Pages of the Heart: A Reflective Journaling Experience

Slow Down, Listen Within, &
Return to Yourself

A half-day experience that gives you the space to pause, reflect, and focus on yourself away from the demands of everyday life.

Date & Time:

Sunday, November 8, 2026 1:00-4:30 PM

Location:

Wildflour and Fields Studio (664 Golf Club Road, Unit 3), Hamilton, Ontario

There are seasons in life when we spend so much time caring for others, managing responsibilities, navigating change, or simply getting through each day that we lose touch with ourselves.

Our thoughts become noisy. Our emotions stay tucked away. And our own needs quietly move to the bottom of the list.

Reflective journaling invites you to slow down and reconnect with the thoughts, feelings, and wisdom that have been patiently waiting beneath the surface.

This isn’t about becoming a better writer; it’s about becoming a better listener—to the voice within yourself.

Through guided meditation, therapeutic writing prompts, and quiet reflection, you’ll discover how putting pen to paper can create clarity, calm your nervous system, and gently guide you to your authentic self.

As I often tell my clients, “Journaling is a practice that helps us find our way back to ourselves and connect with our truest and deepest feelings.”

Salvina Castiglione, R.S.W., B.S.W., B.A.

Meet Your Facilitator,
Salvina Castiglione, R.S.W., B.S.W., B.A

For more than 35 years, I’ve helped individuals navigate grief, anxiety, relationship challenges, caregiving, and life’s many transitions. Throughout those years, one thing has remained true: healing begins when we create space to slow down, listen to ourselves, and honestly explore what’s happening within us.

Journaling has long been one of the therapeutic practices I recommend because I’ve witnessed the profound transformation it can create. I’ve also experienced that transformation personally.

When we write without judgment, we begin to build trust with ourselves. A journal becomes a safe place to express thoughts and feelings that may not yet feel safe to share with anyone else. In that vulnerability, we often discover greater clarity, self-compassion, and healing.

I hope that you’ll leave this workshop with more than a journal filled with words; I hope you’ll leave feeling more connected to yourself.

What To Expect

This isn’t a workshop where you’ll spend hours filling pages with perfect sentences.

Instead, it’s a thoughtfully guided therapeutic experience designed to help you slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.

A Gentle Beginning

We’ll begin with guided breathwork and meditation, allowing your nervous system to settle and helping you transition away from the busyness of everyday life.

Guided Reflective Journaling

Using therapeutic writing prompts, you’ll gently explore your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and experiences in a way that feels supportive—not overwhelming.

Space to Pause

One of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves is time. Throughout the afternoon, you’ll have quiet moments to sit with your thoughts, enjoy a cup of tea, stretch, or continue writing at your own pace. Surrounded by soft music and a peaceful atmosphere, you’ll have the space to simply be. There is no rush and no pressure.

A Different Perspective

Together, we’ll gently explore the stories we tell ourselves, identify patterns that may no longer serve us, and create space for greater self-awareness, compassion, and emotional healing.

Meaningful Connection

Those who wish to share are welcome to do so in a supportive, confidential environment.

Many participants discover that hearing someone else’s story reminds them they’re not alone in their own.

Resources to Continue Your Journey

You’ll leave with your own journal, pen, therapeutic writing prompts, and practical strategies to continue your journaling practice long after the workshop ends.

Sometimes, the Most Important Conversation Is the One You Have with Yourself

So much of life asks us to keep moving forward. Rarely does it invite us to slow down and simply listen to ourselves.

This workshop offers that invitation. A chance to pause, breathe, reflect, and write honestly.

Because every meaningful journey inward begins with a single blank page.
